Took a few Boy Scouts on a short backpack trip this weekend. We hiked part of Cave Creek Trail and The Pinhoti Trail in the Talladega National Forest in Alabama. Mount Cheaha is the highest point in Alabama.
The weather was great as was the scenery. We only backpacked about 9 miles and camped one night but it was quite enjoyable.

My son went to Camp mac there on Mt. Cheaha and it is beautiful. The lake is beautiful too. Always wanted to spend some time on the Mt.
