  • Three Very Handy Items

Here are three cheap, but very nice itens to have. They are lightweight and take up pretty much no space at all.

First is a "Toob" toothbrush which is a case, toothbrush and has a refillable toothpaste tube all in one.

The second is a headband made by "Nitize" which will hold small narrow diameter flashlights so they can be used as headlamps. This is one of my favorite pieces of gear!

Finally, is DR. Bronners Pure-Castile soap which you can wash clothes with, bathe/shower with, wash dishes with and YES brush your teeth with. This stuff is concentrated and will go a long ways!

I could not live without my headlamp! I love it! Its hands free, I can see where Im going to go pee when its dark, in the woods, I can chase one kid around while I hold another.. just remembering not to stare directly at them (shees learned that the hard way) besides the occasional bug in my mouth... Its really so handy! I like the toothbrush thingy.. Dental hygiene is so very important!

They are really cheap and can be found at just about any place that carries Mag Lights.

The underated headband has never gotten the respect it deserves.

                Sorry couldn't resist....:o:o:o

On a more serious note... I will be picking one up as well.

Hahaha excellent pick. I have a couple of those lights that clip onto your cap bill. They work good but they use those watch type batteries which are kinda hard to come by sometimes.

That's where I got mine at . Be sure and read and compare features as they are not all equal .

I had a similar one years ago and it SUCKED!! Just googled the "Toob" one and it looks much much better and it's dirt cheap. May have to pick one up.

I use a cyclops hat clip light. Clips to the brim of my hat (always on when out camping). Good enough for basic stuff, but I can see the advantage of being able to use a small quality light.

Never heard of this, or in fact never heard of a soap that can be used for pretty much all washing needs while camping. I'm a bit skeptical that it can do a good job washing everything from pots to hands to clothes, but if you say it works well for all that it's definitely going on my camping list.
