the swimming hole i grew up with ended up infested with water moccasins on one end. four kids got killed playing around on that side.

the county bulldozed out to it then filled it in after that.

but we still had the river.

its in on State forestry land butted up against Pickett Park. theres miles and miles of trails to ride and hike there, many run a few miles into Kentucky and one runs all the way up to Lake Cumberland. that one is a 12 hour ride on a four wheeler.

great place to ride and camp, and the hiking trails join up with those of pickett and the Big South Fork.

love doing canoe trips down the South fork when I get the chance.

let me know when you want directions its pretty easy to get to. well mostly. depends on whether the trail is been washed out or not. you can drive in from the Kentuck side if you have four wheelers or an offroad vehicle. nice ride from Kentucky, but can be rough.

This is the swimming hole (quarry) by my house. It's behind Bluff City Cemetery.
