I had mentioned this on the Bushcraft Classes thread, but was asked to do a separate thread for the event- so here we go!
This is an event I founded with two other friends in 1992. It has grown, and I no longer run it. I am part of the team of organizers. I truly feel this is something that anyone interested in the old ways should attend. It is a great way to learn and is a bunch of fun as well! If you have some free time in August, please join us!
We are adding classes every day- just added are a falconry class and a symposium on USING stone tools, both knapped and abraded into shape. I believe a micro-forge class will be added this week. We already have classes on wild rice, birch bark canoes and containers, native architecture, hide tanning, quill work, wild plants, trapping and more on the site. By July, we should have from 45-50 classes and symposiums to choose from, 3 sessions of 5-7 classes each day.
