Hey Snow walker just wanted to let you know that we turned your camp chair idea into a compotition at scout camp last week. I don't have any pics as I dropped my camera in a puddle early in the week and as we all know water and electrical items just dont get along that well, but the boys had a great time and we had some very interesting designs. The winner was a tri pod similar to your but actually hung a hand knotted bag. That boy is well on his way to being an Eagle Scout! Thanks, Todd

Camp Chair
I can't get in the woods thanks to my docter and trust me that's hard because I will spend at least 3 days a week in them otherwise. So, I settled for the back yard today and worked on a little project.
I've seen these made with nylon material and such, but I decided to use netting which in my opinion is more comfortable anyway and has many other uses. As far as the tripod goes it could also be used for so many other things...a water generator for winter camping, trapping and even for hanging pots over the fire. I also prefer the netting because you don't have to tie it at the top, just weave around the top of the tripod supports.
It's a very simple project and I would encourage whoever has never tried it to have some fun. This is a really good one for the kids to get involved with, the whole tripod idea could teach them alot and it's very simple.Tags: None
