I can't get in the woods thanks to my docter and trust me that's hard because I will spend at least 3 days a week in them otherwise. So, I settled for the back yard today and worked on a little project.
I've seen these made with nylon material and such, but I decided to use netting which in my opinion is more comfortable anyway and has many other uses. As far as the tripod goes it could also be used for so many other things...a water generator for winter camping, trapping and even for hanging pots over the fire. I also prefer the netting because you don't have to tie it at the top, just weave around the top of the tripod supports.
It's a very simple project and I would encourage whoever has never tried it to have some fun. This is a really good one for the kids to get involved with, the whole tripod idea could teach them alot and it's very simple.
