Crunch multitool needs complete re-working for the Alone show or BOB

the serrated SS knife, the file, the phillips, the two flathead screwdrivers, pointless. The visegrip jaws need to be narrowed to needle-nosed configuration at their very end, for re-shaping the ends of the big fishhooks, once you cut them in half for the Alone show. or other fine work. The knife blade needs to be carbon steel, regular configuration, so you can sharpen it with a rock. Make the tool able to be taken apart and re-assembled with your bare hands. The phillips and file blades need to be replaced with real-deal Nicholson files, a flat one and one that fits the saw teeth.. The end of the flat file needs to be a chisel-point. The medium flat head becomes a scoop-knife/gouge. The small flathead becomes an awl-drill, for making the mounting holes for the various longer, different configurations of shovel handle.

I can have a real tool kit in the car or at home, so I dont regard the multitool as being of-value for normal life. Only if you're severely limited in what tools you can have are such tools of any real value. They are, by their nature, half assed good for a lot of things and not really good for any one thing. Sort of like the silenced shorty AR15 with the .22lr conversion unit. No, it's not as good as half a dozen longarms are, for their ONE thing, but it's acceptably good at half a dozen things and you can only carry ONE longarm and a BOB. Since you can't tell what you might need, you have to take the most versatile tool possible.

Why are you reshaping fish hooks? They are the product of 100s of years of product evolution and innovation to do the job better and better. Yet you plan on improving it; you're only kidding yourself and no one else.

A dozen modern fishhooks of different kinds would weigh a lot less than whatever you're talking about.

Fishing is one of my favorite things to do and also to eat..
Bass, bream, trout or walleye. Bream is southern US for any panfish, sunfish, warmouth, shellcracker. blue gill or red ear etc.

On the average day, I employed it at least a minimum of 5 times a day. Given Gun Kids "employment history", I can understand why he would not require one.

It's a multi-tool While not the best, it allows a chance of self help without having to go get a proper tool. There are occasion when good enough is fine.

I doubt if registror or the other BOB types have ever realistically considered how long they could actually survive with one rifle and what they can carry in a BOB.

Where he lived during his "employment history" had heat in the winter, AC in the summer and free electricity. Three well balanced meals were furnished everyday; plus TV etc. Doctors and dentists were available and free.

-Well, we do know that Gun kid managed to shoot two people. Of course, they were both him. He shot himself in the foot with a .22 then poured scalding water over his foot as he couldn't afford to go to a doctor. They second time he allegedly shot himself in the belt buckle with a .45. I was single at the time, just after a divorce and it kept me out of the bars and laughing from all the fantasizes he spouted.
