Obviously a kid, but he kind of sums it up. From Craigs List Rants Section. His #4 suggestion is more true then anyone knows. If you P.O. the wrong people, you will have trouble for the rest of the time you are here.
The Midland Report (Midland Texas)I have been here since September and this is my view of Midland So far.
The traffic during the day is heavy and during rush hour it gets crazy.The people here drive alot of trucks and suvs and they drive too fast also they tend to drive at night with foglights and highbeams on which is dangerous
There seem to be alot of jobs here which is good
There are alot of places to go and things to do here
There is some trouble though I think there are some gangs here and I think there was a shooting at a club and I think someone died
I have read a couple Cl rants discussing the illegal mexicans I think they are getting a bad rap because I have had alot more trouble from drunken hillbillys and possibly retarted rednecks than from any of the mexicans so far. Although I think that the illegals pose a big risk especially when driving because they have no insurance or license and if they get in a wreck with you they will probally run away leaving you holding the bag.. I think the solution to this is to just get uninsured motorist coverage which will become important soon if the recession gets any worse because alot of the legal people here wont have insurance anymore because they will have to pay their rent
Also that brings me to another topic rent... It appears that the house rent prices are very high here but you get what you pay for because the only other options are apartments and trailer park which have their own sets of problems
Apartments have alot of shady people and drug dealers and people hanging around
Trailer parks tend to smell bad because of leaking septic systems on older rvs and the people their are usually too nosy and they are usually hillbillys or just mean although there could be a chance that there are some cool people there or maybe some old people that arent too bad but chances are there rv leaks soo its a give and take situation
Now lets get to the most important topic
Women and cars
Both are in high demand here
All of the good looking women here are already taken and All of the ugly women are hooked up
All of the cars here are being used and the ones that are being sold are expensive and well used
So my suggestion for cars and women is if you decide to come here make sure you have a woman to bring with you and a decent car to drive or maybe you find a fat girl from odessa and buy a ford pick up and drive it fast with the fog lights and high beams on at night----the choice is yours

I will leave you fine people of Cl with some tips
1.Drive slow and if someone is tailgating let them.If you have to make a sudden stop they crash into you and they will pay.Remember Speed kills and you have the right to drive slow because you pay road taxes too.
2.Be careful hitting on women because most of them are hooked up even the ugly ones.
3.Avoid bars and clubs because they are big trouble.
4.If confronted with a mean hillbilly or teenage gangbanger just play it cool If you have to defend yourself against them I suggest you get out of town afterwards because im sure there is a network of them here and if you mess with one you will have to deal with the rest
