I am new here, but I live on 12 acres might place might be available depending on the weekend etc. Its located in in Central NC and hour south of Raleigh. I have separate lot with septic and water. Also have a huge bonfire pile that needs to be burned off. No chance for shooting though yet. Plenty of space for camping.
I think this will be great. I'd be up for camping too. Good thing about an SUV is that if its raining, the bed is over 6' long with the seats down and its nice and dry and warm.. and it is, after all, an S-U-V.....

Like Snal, I've attended and hosted a few internet group gatherings before, for various interests, and he mentioned some good points. To have a good meet n greet before the actual camping/educational weekend isnt a bad idea. Maybe a day trip, one saturday in February, meet in a central location at a restaurant somewhere, say mid/late afternoon so everyone could drive back home that night. Reserve the back room so we'd have some privacy. Have a nice dinner, get to know some fellow members with no pressure or pretense. No real agenda as far as education goes, but maybe talk about and plan some lessons or seminars that'll take place on the camping weekend? I'd be up for that.

If I'm invited.... though it looks like I will not be in NC until April. I voted NO for overnight event. Can you imagine me telling hubby that I was going to go campout with a bunch of guys I met online??!
Are all ya'll (see, I can fit in) planning just a kick-back-and-talk kind of meeting, or indeed some sort of seminars with skills lessons?
