Just went through the small town of Kinly - direct hit, apparently it's either still on the ground or skipping up that corridor.
Woman at Lowe's in Sanford probably saved lives, she saw it coming, ran through the store yelling Tornado and sending everyone to the bathrooms. Store was wiped out. She reports only minor injuries.
This thing is fugly.

Still going. They've got a helo up over Raleigh, some pretty bad damage. No reported deaths as yet (thank You, Lord!). Newscaster just said that this dwarfs the last two "real" storms they had.

Okay. Looks like the main cell has weakened a bit at the Virgina border. No longer showing rotation. They still have tornado watches in effect because this line of cells is so unstable.
It lasted almost 2 hours, never heard of such a thing! Newscasters are saying last "bad" storm like this was in 1984, but believe this one will prove worse.
North Carolina, God watch over you through this night. Hope all our friends are safe!
