yeppers we've been at wateree the whole weekend i suggested that a while back but i think hes got to much tar on his heels cant leave nc or something hell if hes got atvs or dirt bikes they could go to carolina adventure world thats real close to chatrolotte
Been there many time it is a GREAT place to ride!!!
Also, travel a little further and make it to Jones Gap and Table Rock in SC. Both have great camping. Jones Gap has some incredibly difficult hiking; there is one section which is now closed due to its difficulty. Worth checking into.
Try Uhwarrie National Forest, up Hwy 49 out of Charlotte about 1-1.5 hrs depending where you go. Great place 4-wheeler trails, river, hunting and camping.
