Bright sunny but cold morning. Got there about 0830 and the lines were about 1500' long. At 9am the line stated moving and in 20 minutes I was in the warm :)

Browsed around and located myself a CX-4 Storm in .45 ACP :D Pictures comming soon. Picked up a few mags and scored some 9mm.

Found a bench and waited for the meet and greet time... at ~1115 I got to meet Freedom Defender and Kimber .45... a few minutes later another Xcolonist showed up (forgive me I forgot the Xcolony Handle but remember your first name :) read the hearing loss post in case you wonder why ;) ) also my good friend TheUnboundOne made it through the long line after a long wait...All I gotta say is that, gentlemen, it was truly and honor and privilege to shake your hands and meet you face to face :)

Let's do it again someday... and I can see a SC get together/campout happening one day...

Our fearless leader Diesel, was AWOL:eek: or maybe he was spying on us from behind the Coke Machines pondering if he really wanted to be associated with a fine group of folks like us or not;)

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to
beat you to death with it because it is empty.

The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.

They kept telling me that I was in violation of a court ordered restraining order and to 'stop' or they would 'shoot'!

I complied with their commands ;)

          Dear Zombie Axe,

I enjoyed the Metrolina Gun Show today as well. It was good to see you again and I hope to meet others at future shows as well.

To refresh your memory, the other member was Rbear. It was a pleasure to meet Rbear, FreedomDefender, and Kimber45 for the first time also.

I only bought me an International Terrorist Hunting Permit Sticker (not that one needs any permission to hunt terrorists; the natural right of self-defense and to keep and bear arms suffices, but the sticker does look cool and official.)

The rest of the time I spent collecting business cards of vendors who looked like desirable sources for future provisions.

There were some great vendors of both modern-day and old-fashioned rifles, pistols, and shotguns. I absolutely loved the .303 Lee-Enfield that someone had that looked almost like it was just issued yesterday. American Army Navy had a fantastic retractable steel baton that would do some hellacious damage to would-be predators if you were in a place where you didn't have your firearms.

And this guy from Lenoir had the best collection of handmade knives, axes, and leather sheathes...including a thick-bladed outdoorsman's knife with a steel fire striker looping around the handle and over where your knuckles would go. If you ever had to have just one tool in the wild, I would say this beauty would be it; you could practically rebuild civilization with all you could do with this baby.

A fun time was had by all and I hope to be at future Metrolina Gun Shows, maybe making a serious purchase next time.
