How many people are on this site from the Low Country?
I'm intersted in a local Meet & Greet. I like the idea of a meet & greet, however my schedule doesn't allow for traveling 3 hours.
I'd like to set up a meeting and we can talk about a local camping trip.

I'm from Goosecreek. I hit the Edisto river all summer, I got a three man canoe. I do lots of camping on the Edisto too. You know where Martins Landing is?
You guys are making me homesick. I was raised in Williston in Barnwell County and still have a bunch of relatives (wife's side) in Bamberg County. I grew up fishing those black waters of the Edisto for red breasts, jack fish, the occasional bowfin, and of course all those cool snakes! One summer I stayed in the swamps catching cotton mouths to sell to a guy in Salley, I think it was. He milked 'em for the venom. Paid a whole lot more than bagging groceries or loading watermelons! We still have access to a couple of hundred acres on the Barnwell/Bamberg County line where we deer and turkey hunt. Need to start armadillo hunting...they're taking over down there! Maybe I can hook up with you guys down there for a G2G.
