I'm with Diesel. Please let us know that you survived Hurricane Ike, as well as how you are coping with the aftermath.

      All Safe in Odessa

We were hoping the hurricane would have hit closer to Mexico. It is sure dry out here in the desert and we needed the moisture. However, my corporate offices in Houston must have been hit hard. I cannot contact anyone, even by cell, and their server went down around midnight.

I hope my rental houses are ok out in DFW.

Rusty, I'm sure you have the info now.....but, Dallas got nothing but a gentle rain. Your houses should be fine.

Also, I've had good luck by text messaging Houston rather than calling. Good luck to you and yours down there!

That is good news. I am sure I will find out more tomorrow. I think the corporate offices will be shut down for a day or so. Anyone in Houston know if the Greensroad/I45 area is ok?

All good in North Texas, just 1/2" rain in total over two days. In fact it is cool and beautiful today...almost Fall.

I'm a new member but I live out in Cooper. I have probably the perfect setup for a survival event. Miles upon miles of cattle and farm land, no people and I have over 10 acres myself.

east of Houston and the people are jumpy around here. People that I have talked to are not optimistic about the future. Even the non preppers.
