I live in Tennessee but I was born in Flint, raised mostly in the Hale, Whittemore area graduated from High School in Grand Rapids then joined the Army in 83. I have family in Flint, Saginaw, Mt. Pleasant, Whittemore, Hale, Tawas, Grand Rapids, Cedar Springs and Rockford. BIIIIG FAMILY.

Yes the U.P. is really God's country! Lol the trolls, I used to be one too. And yes i think it will fall when shtf, a shame too as I just LOVE (not) driving across it in the grated lane. If worse came to worse you could go around the Chicago way, if you had enough fuel. I'm in the far west end of the U.P. about 6 hours to the bridge. We should plan a meet & greet in the U.P. this summer. Oh & one of my sons go to school at CMU in Mt. Pleasant. Such a small world!

Welcome Earthday23. I am always so pleased when another Michigander joins us! I travel through Mt. Pleasant frequently as I have a sister who lives in Lake (next to Farwell). Haven't seen/heard anything about a get together coming up. Would sure like it though!

Hello everyone! New to the site. A lot of great information here. From the Mt. Pleasant area. Would love to stop by one of these events in the future. While we are well prepared to bug in at home, we also have a secret bug out location in the U.P., so don't feel too alone Zany. The U.P. is truly God's Country and when the !#$* hits the fan, my gut tells me that big beautiful bridge will probably fall to keep the trolls south of the bridge. Yes agree it would be great! Hopefully Curdog can give us an update soon on the current plans. He last posted in January so hoping things are going well for him.
