This is a great idea. I would pay $25 to $45 dollars per ticket (ticket allowing entrance for the 2 or 3 days). I would love to see more rustic events like knife forging, food storage, seed saving, and basic trapping and game harvesting. Labor day is nice but being in West Tn I know that day can be cold and raining alot. Maybe a weekend more in September or even the end or August.

Sounds good to me! Are you going to have sponsors for this big event? I'd be willing to come during that time, especially in middle Tn. Just hiked the South Cumberland/Savage Gulf area, loved it.

My youngest is @ a University too, but I would be willing to come, just for the experience. I'm going to ask around & see if others want to come to share the expense. Yeah, New Hampshire is a ways from Tn. I have been retired for over 3 yrs. now, & money is tight, but I couldn't miss that event, especially in middle Tn.

Would love to attend. Just one question, my PA carry permit doesn't allow for travel outside the state, so is it legal to tranport my firearms to another state?

After reading through the entire 10 page thread I still find no firm location or directions or final cost mentioned.

                Did I miss that post?

It is only a month till Labor Day! Many of the people that wish to attend will soon have to change plans due to time constraints.

I have organized events of this nature in Mid-TN several times and can assure you that it takes more then a month to get everything tagged down if you do not own your own property. Firewood, water, port-o-lets, medical facilities.....

Never said this was happening.. we were putting out the feelers and seeing what was involved with the logistics, safety, costs etc. It's not going to happen this year. We want to but there's alot involved including sponsors, insurance etc
WHAT IF THE AMERICA YOU KNEW, WAS ABOUT TO CHANGE?

The best thing you can do to support the site is pass it on to your friends and fav sites like other forums, facebook, twitter etc. Let people know about us! :)
