Thanks Slowz1k.. After I finished the article, I told the wife that I was taking two days off from work to get away from the humans and have 24-48 hours of "jeremiah johnson" time.... It was just what I needed. I took my pack, my maps and got some much needed quiet time. I worked on making fire with flint-n-steel, snares and deadfalls, and land nav... I feel better and ready to go back to the grind..

I took some of them. some were taken from my lesson plans when I was an instructor for the army. I wish I could figure out a way to post my powerpoints. I put together about 10 presentations several years ago. The animation on several of the slides help illustrate how to establish a grid, converting G-M and M-G, as well other areas of instruction. Some things are difficult to teach with static images and text. You need video or in this case powerpoint..BTW, I made some maple butter... pretty dang good stuff.
Oh I just figured out what you were talking about.. no, sorry.. I left the camera behind... it was a last minute thing and all i wanted to do was get away for a while... Now that i think about it, I should have taken a few photos...
