Of course, the one I liked was the Elite :p, it's got 108cc engine and gets just over 100 miles to the gallon. Since it would be going onto Post, we'd still need to register, refresh the riders safety courses and all that hoohoo.

SkyOwl and I have traded trucks, since he goes WAYYYY to the other end of Post and I go to this side of it. I drive the 1 ton (the BFT) diesel duelly and he's got my Silverado. Saves quite a bit of money, since I can stretch one tank to almost a month in the BFT.

I suggested scooters for getting to work, we both have motorcycle licenses. If fuel keeps going up, I suspect he'll be more amenable to the idea, although I'd probably end up with a scooter and him with something bigger, which would be fine.

When we bought 60 acres in the boonies for camping and possible retirement, he sold his Goldwing, broke both of our hearts, we used to love setting out on the road just before sunrise.

I just googled them, and yeah they look pretty cool. With gas prices the way they are it will pay for its self in time. Looking forward to the pics

    started a topic New scooter

    New scooter

I am getting a Honda ruckus scooter to help keep my fuel costs down. I have a 3/4 ton GMC 13 mpg, 1978 Harley FLH 19 mpg, so I am adding the ruckus because of the 85 -100 mpg it gets. This will not be a BOV; it is going to cut my fuel costs so I can spend the money I save on other supplies. I will be able to ride it to work almost every day and to run errands around town. The ruckus looks like it is built for the end of the world and it has wider tires so you can take it on trails. I will fabricate some racks for it and add some rod holders so I can take it stripper fishing after work. I will post pictures after I pick it up.
Working...
