DO you have other pistols or is the XD your only one? How much does he want for the bike cash? I think if you have a back up pistol and the bike runs good it would be a fair trade if not no way. do you have a way to haul the bike if need be? Bikes are great but they have small fuel tanks and limited space to carry gear, and or family. Maybe write down the pros and cons to see what ways out better for you. Good luck, and look at all the angles.

Things to consider, would be cash value of the XD and the bike. The age of the bike and how easy / expensive parts are to get. Could be smarter to look on Craigslist find a bike and get some rattle cans in flat od green. I have a hard time trading a firearm for anything but another firearm. Just my 1 cents worth.

I love the KLR's. I don't know much about the militarized models, but the civi's are bullet proof bikes. You can't find them here in the South East in fair shape for less than $2000. A straight trade sounds like a great deal, if your in the market for a dual purpose bike. Things to consider.. Can you title and tag it easily since it's military? It's very heavy, as far as dirtbikes go, and because of this it isn't a "greatest" off road bike. Gas mileage is awesome if it's got the civilian 650cc thumper. I know some of these were converted over to diesel. If this is a diesel bike... DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!. Instead forward the sellers contact information to me as soon as possible, and I'll buy it... ooops, I mean, I'll research the bike for you and see if it's a good deal.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Edit...
