  • Computer / Locksmithing Skills

    Greetings all,

I thought I'd put up a *little* of my experience... just for hoo ha's.

23 years of Computer Repair, Networking, etc... could be useful, especially in the event of an EMP. *Electro Magnetic Pulse*

Locksmithing / Lockpicking... about 10 years of playing with locks and lockpicking for fun and sport. Not the worlds best or fastest, but I hold my own.

*Going for my Locksmithing License in the next 4 months... they only test 2 times a year...*

20 some years of Pyrotechnical experience, making my own fireworks, etc.

    Chemical preperations... basic survival chemistry...

Knowledge is power... so that being said, I put a link on the site, for some PDF files... that will give you a huge edge in the survival world. Completely free... and no cyber clap. LOL

Basic Electronics experience, soldering, electrical repair, wiring, cabling, etc... approximately 15 years.

I'm Mac, PC, Unix, Linux, AS400, and AIX proficient... and can pretty much take something other people would throw away, and make it work. I amazed one of my techs when I rebuilt the electronics on the back of a hard drive, in about 10 minutes, with a soldering gun, and parts from a dead card, so I could do a data recovery on the drive.

I know most survival plans do not really look at all the possibilities of having a computer / electronics person... as most scenarios involve no power, or a massive EMP taking out all but shielded government installations.

Most civil unrest, riots, or military attacks do not generally use such EMPS, and someone will have to be field expedient in creating things such as electrically initiated detonators, timers, etc... as well as repairing the equipment needed for even the most basic communications.

    I'm also a Marksman, think I qualified with a 97 at the concealed carry class...been a while.

speaking of fire, have you ever made a sparkler bomb?
I wish they captured the wheels flying off..they landed about 50 feet away, after being catapulted into the air.
