It is leased and we do maintain the roads other than we are the only ones allowed on the property other than the power company that comes in to fix the lines after storms

Private property or not, that looks like a county road. Unless you own and maintain the road you could still be in trouble. Would qualify as distracted driving as in my state at the very least.

I am on 28,000 acre's of private property I do a lot of shooting and driving you should see what I do with a rifle and pistol.
