  • my new (to me) trailer!!!

Picked this up for a 100.00 bucks. Needs some flooring repaired as well as some cosmetics catch was no title. I got a bill of sale from the owner. And can get a bonded title for 500.00. But I plan on putting it on my little property so don't see what I need a title.

    100 bucks? Cool!

If you are going to park it in a sometimes-cold climate, it will be a booger to heat unless you punch a hole in the roof and install a wood-burning stove.

Can't count on those, though, may have no electric. Unless you intend to install solar and batteries?

When we had our 5th wheel parked where it got cold, our little solar panels kept the 4 batteries charged well enough to run the heater until about 0500 at which time I'd poke SkyOwl and he and the dog would go out and start the generator.

Of course, in a SHTF situation, we'd run out of propane rapidly, so are counting on other warming methods.

I'm not doing propane at all I'm going to do solar power, and a generator.

I'm kicking around the idea of installing wiring for 12v DC lights and fans, I also have one of them big 12 v coolers I may install and get rid of the fridge that's there.

SkyOwl got directions on making his own solar panels a couple of weeks ago, looking forward to giving it a try.

It looks like an old Holiday Rambler. I've been an RV tech for 21 years. It's already wired for 12 volts. It has a power converter with 110 volt circuit breakers and 12 volt fuses on the inside of the converter or mounted next to it. It has a Coleman AC on the roof.

If you need any help or have any questions about it just let me know.

                          $100.00!!! That's awesome.
That pic brought back a bunch of childhood memories for me. My family had a 31' HR almost exactly like that one.
Please keep us posted on your progress. I'm very interested in how this project turns out!
The 12ga.... It's not just for rabbits anymore.

Hope to start doing something with it late summer. Just not sure what I want to use it as.

That was a great snag! Put it on a block foundationwith tie downs. I think it would be a great BOL.
