  • BOL occupied

Diesel brought this up in the introduction to the scenario board and it got me to thinking, what if your BOL was occupied. What would you do if there was a family already there, or if there was a goblin presence on the BOL?

Find out what the hell they did with the folks that live there all the time...

Our BOL will be occupied by more than one family. It's our plan. Now, if it is an uninvited presence there will be a tactically overseen discussion regarding what the uninvited group has to offer the established group.

I agree..... and depending on what the folks there look like, it might be smart to find someplace else... If there ends up being some hurt feelings, and someone goes away mad, they know where you are and that might not be good.. I wouldn't like the idea of a pissed off group of people knowing where I am... I am not saying to tuck the tail and run, just think it out before acting... I would need to know more of the variables before acting....

Well in a true SHTF if they looked scary or were that pissed when they were asked to leave, and I seriously believed they posed a credible and real threat to the BOL and everyone there's safety, maybe they don't leave... Worst comes to worst, maybe they need neutralized.

Dark way to think but desperate times may just call for unthinkable actions.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you!

After checking out some areas on a map, I'm planning on doing some recon this spring/summer to physically look at different areas. Don't have the $$$ to purchase my own land or bug-out location yet, but still want to have the plans in place in case I need to get out of dodge.

Going to look into different areas that will be dependent on the SHTF situation (walking "x" miles to location, being able to drive there, heading off in specific directions to move away from "x" threat). I guess I will have to have "plan B" ready for each location as well, if it is already occupied.

Always so much to consider! (but better to plan for the situations now sitting here drinking my beer than having to pull it out of my [you know what] when it is happening!!!)

Not sure if it would help you or if its even a consideration... BUT my plan is stay in place but if I do have to head for the hills my plan is to go to my deer lease. We lease through a timber company and sign our leases on an annual basis so I know its at least there for that year. Obviously, there are other members of our lease and we only have 1 central designated camping area. But we have a total of about 3500 acres so I'm hoping that I can hide out somewhere on that land.

Maybe having a deer lease or similar situation can help you. Its a lot cheaper than buying your own land. Of course having title to your own piece of dirt is preferable in my opinion.

If some how all other fail safe measures have failed..... Feed em to the gators. But the B.O.L. is occupied 24/7/365 so if they aint friendlies we got a real problem and I will just blow it in place before retreating to the secondary B.O.L.. Google maps cant even find our secondary location. (The last time I took my GPS there it was asking me for directions.) The only reason our secondary location isn't our primary is limited access to clean water.

Well, if they have already raided the supplies and know what's there, extricating them is going to be difficult. I agree that if it's goblins, then they have to go with minimum opportunity for reprisal. (If ya know what I mean..) If they are friendlies, then work it out and help them to be productive. People are going to be desparate. They have to be willing to be led competantly, or led off the reservation.

Stop glass, asess the situation from a safe distance. Do these before running straight in head first eyes down. Send scour in playing dumb covered by long range rifle. If signaled open up hells doors, if all clear(friendlies) join the fun.

First find out how they found it then asses and figure out a plan it is mine I own it but I am not one who throws a family into the middle of the woods if they are willing to do what is necessary then them coming aboard is not out of the question

I see we're still not in shortage of the kill everyone and dig a whole folks around here.

Your 'lair' (that sounds so silly) should be where you are. But if you have a BOL and someone is squatting you didn't secure it properly. In any case it's your property so you would have to tell them to leave.
