I've started raising goats. Honestly simply because they are cheaper than any gas powered mower. I'm hoping they'll eat down all the brush that has taken over my fields...

Here's the question to any more experienced farmer out there: can a male boer successfully breed with a female pygmy? My current situation will no doubt lead to this and I want to make sure that this won't be a problem...

    Cheers.

A boar and a pygmy getting it on is probably illegal in most states, especially in the bible belt!

I don't think there would be a problem with the male Boer being successful in breeding with the female Pygmy my concern would be with the female being able to safely deliver the kid since the Boer is sometimes three times or more the Pygmy's size, this could present a problem with delivery I would think, you may want to consult a Vet or breeder with more experience, it's been a lot of years since I've had goats and there weren't as many "designer breeds" 40 years ago.
