it sounds like you've been doing a lot of research. I don't have the option of having animals right now, though I am working on perhaps chickens.

Off grid prep???
 In preparing to move off grid I did some searches on animals,
when going off grid you have to sustain yourself and family ,Rite.
Well I was wondering what are the best duel purpose animals to have.
This is what I have come up with so far.
Icelandic sheep=meat/wool/milk , multiple births and easily/survive on grass and shrub/ wool growth is 6 to 8 inches in 6 months and is highly prized for a softer texture.
Mangalitza pigs=can Handel hot&cold climate/lard type=grease for stuff/taster meat.
Irish Panthaise=can handle most climates/calve regular and easily/meat&milk
Duel breed chickens=meat&eggs/New Hampshire's/Plymouth rocks/Wyandottes
Australorp chickens=worlds best egg layers
As of this time I have not searched out work animals.
I would like to here from others on this, please feel free in giving your suggestions.Tags: None
