  • Earthships

Earthships are a way to comfortably live off the grid. Their construction and architecture regulate interior temperature and harvest water, they are equipped with a sewage treatment system, and they can also be outfitted with equipment to collect solar and wind energy.

We are the number one sustainable autonomous design-build company. We build autonomous homes, you can see some of our projects in our portfolio. We teach people to build autonomous homes at our Earthship Academy and seminar lecture series. We encourage people to learn about sustainability at our at our Visitor Center or our Nightly Rentals […]

I hope to someday (in the relatively near future) purchase an isolated chunk of land and build an earthship on it. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to fortify, but if it were far enough off the beaten trail I wouldn't have to worry too much about it.

While they are great for living off the land I don't feel they offer you any kind of security or tactical resistance at all.

I hear ya on the chunk of land, i'm currently seeking 100+acres somewhere.. with ideas of groves for fruit trees, fields for planting, running water/strem or river etc.
WHAT IF THE AMERICA YOU KNEW, WAS ABOUT TO CHANGE?

The best thing you can do to support the site is pass it on to your friends and fav sites like other forums, facebook, twitter etc. Let people know about us! :)

Every design is adaptable. I prefer naturally built linked compounds. That's what we're going for.

Land is bloody expensive ain't it? Love survivalrealty.com (used to, looks a bit funny now). Too bad they're no longer secret.
