I worked on a bunch of these in my younger days and consider them a very reliable machine.

We used a RAMAX compactor w/ the L.P. deisel engine. An 85 model 3400lb. machine w/ around 10k hrs. on it .Re built once by a company around Durham,NC,Hwy 70 I think.Good and reliable machine but I couldn't tell ya about their generators.

Never had one, but I understand they are very reliable. When I am faced with the opportunity to buy something like this, I always check around to see how easily I can get parts. From what I have read, they are good little engines.

I may have stumble across a friend of a friend who is selling a 2 cyl deisel generator hopefully on Monday I'll speak the person who is selling it. But the description I was told left me thinking it may have a Lister engine. Has anyone had any exerience these engines?
