    The first link you posted is a dead link. ( the Cabela's one) the REI looks pretty cool. The price is right.

      Columbia River Knife and Tool (CRKT) makes and outstanding product and have always been a good product for the money. Some of there tactical folders saw duty in Desert Storm. I have owned several of their products and would not hesitate to purchase anything they make. Thats a good buy, and I'd like to purchase a couple for our bobs.

                Here is a decent knife for your outdoor needs, I don't like serration cuz it's harder to sharpen in the field. I have always liked the tanto style for survival knives because of the even thickness along the blade. I've never broken a knife blade no matter how hard I hit it while cutting kindling or digging into trees for tinder so the shape really doesn't matter, it's just the placebo effect for me.
