Now where can I find one for $35???
I went onto the Woodsman's website. I looked on ebay too. These critters are not cheap.
Anyone got the cheapest source for these things?
Too, the model with the handguard, it comes in a long and short version. Any suggestions as to what size you have. I am leaning toward the shorter version, it doesn't give up that much in my mind, but still produces the same effect.

You definately get what you pay for these days, and I think we've all noticed the influx of garbage into what used to be a reasonably reputable industry. In fact, I'll be the first to admit: I've been suckered more than once by cheap imitations I thught were genuine bargains.
My $0.02

All Woodman's Pals are made in the USA ( I prefer MOST things that way however I do like Norincos, fireworks and waxwood staffs from China).
Like any thing I buy, I do TONS of research on it. When I was locating a source for one, I was suprised to find it at my local knife wholesaler for $35 :eek:vs. the $60-70 online.
He only carrys the wood handle (no handguard) with a basic nylon sheath with a sharpening stone. I did a group buy on it a long time ago and bought all he had for that price. Last time I looked he had a few and I think they went up to $40 or $45 a pop...73

beat you to death with it because it is empty.
