Thank you, I also love the ESEE knives and the Ontarios, but I really want something custom and like these knives so much I wanted to base it on a happy medium if you know what I mean.

I feel yah, I have a number of knives that I love, the ESEE HEST being one of them, but there is always something I feel I could improve or wish was there (or not there). I have thought of making a custom for a while now, I just keep changing the design haha.

Good looking design. What plans do you have for a handle?

That's a good question, I want it pretty much bomb proof so I was thinking a rough Micarta with stainless bolts.

I took two of my favorite knives and looked at the pros and cons of both and came up with this design I want to have made.

Anyone know of someone who has some affordable talent to make this happen?

I going to call it "LEONIDAS"

I would like it made out of 1/4" 01 tool steel.

I also want to go with a flat grind on this size of knife, but not all the way to the top.

Any advise is welcome, but I want to stay with the 1/4" thickness and blade length/O.A. length for sure.
