Mine would have to be a swiss army knife that was given to me as a gift a few years back. When I tried to use it, I cant even remember what I was doing, it fell apart at the hinge part. It also had a plastic pick on the side that never stayed in. It was all around a bad knife that went into the round filing cabnet...lol.

Buck Survival Knife with the camo nylon sheath and green hard rubber handle. Nice to look at Steel was so hard couldent get a good edge on it. Even took it to the butcher for him to try and sharpen on his equipment. Day later he called me to come and pick it up. Told me dont even bother with it any more it sucks!

After decades of enjoying their products it pains me to say that the Gerber large FAST tanto I got for Christmas is junk. The blade bent on the third use, the clip fell off after 4 months of occasional use. It's warrantied but it is still junk.

I was initially impressed by the knife but that faded very quickly when used. Moderate use over a weekend camping trip destroyed this knife. Cutting through some natural fiber rope wore out the serrations, literally bent over the edges. Cut down some small1-2" thick branches left small chips in the fine edge of the blade didn't even think about trying batoning after that. I noticed that when I pressed down on the thunb jimping there was a pronounced popping sound, so the handle is separating. Checked continuity with my Fluke model 87 DMM proved the blade is not true Full tang. Fire starter loosens up when pulled out more than 5-6 times and the sharpener is screwed to the sheath.. Not a real problem if it were not for the fact that the screw heads were above the sharpening level. Produced really nice scrathes in the blade, totally ineffective for sharpening. The whistle is completely overwelmed and compresess if you have a pair of lungs and I couldn't get more than three fingers in the lanyard. I learned my lesson the hard way. Gerber is willing to exchange it, but I really don't want another one.
I dont agree with you at all!!! I've had the ultimate for almost a year now. With HEAVY HEAVY use it still works GREAT. Never sharpened the serations and they are still fantastic with HEAVY use. So, must say I greatly disagree with you and recommend everyone to buy the Bear Grylls Ultimate knife.

You might try to heat it with a torch to take some of the temper out of the blade just enough to be able to scratch it with a file.

Worst knife I have used was a military survival knife given to USMC Pilots in their survival suits. I was forced to use one during a winter survival course in the high mountains of Ca. For 2 weeks I suffered with a knife that would not cut a piece of line, gut a fish, an the first time is used it to work with wood the point broke off. It cost the Government over $25.00 per knife!

I wrote a blasted report that I know went all the way up the chain of command, because that lot of knives were removed from usage with 4 months.

I received a Boker folding knife for the "Click it or ticket" campaign in 2008, it was very sharp and had a seat belt cutting tool in the handle...I worn it in my pants with the clip on the outside of my pocket. I still remember the first time I felt the blade stab my thigh. It didn't break the skin, although it did slice though my uniform pants.

A buddy told me that he could fix it. He took it and tightened it up but said a screw wasn't tightening that would put tension on the blade. It was tighter, but again the thing partial opened up in my pocket!! Now it's in the garage in a box somewhere....
