Why would you want to waste your money!! If this is for protection you do not want to get that close to someone else! Get a pistol, practice, and get an undercover carry permit. That is so you can reach out and touch someone!!!!!

Why not have a multi use item on your person that you can use to write with and possibly defend yourself?
You are not always going to be able to rely on a firearm even if you have it on yourself at the time.
When that 300 lb SOB bumrushes you from behind and pins you into a corner you are going to want every possible option at your disposal.
Just my opinion, yours may vary. But I will take every possible advantage I can get.SQUARE PEG IN A ROUND HOLE

Why bring a tactical pen to a gun fight?
Just sayin'.
To each his own.
I recall a fellow at our gun club that bought one of those mini revolver in .22 r.f.
in a belt buckle.
The guy flipped a lever or something and the little mouse gun came out attached to the
belt buckle.
Well...he bought it. To me it was a false sense of security,
A sharp stick, a sharp pen, are lousy defense weapons.
I can say from EXPERIENCE that even a knife or puncture to the heart likely
WON'T stop aggressive action quickly enough.
Just sayin.
I've SEEN people stabbed through the heart that survived and were mobile for a bit.
Saw one guy take a contact wound to the chest from a 12 bore and he got up and walked
15 feet before he realized he was dead.
I did the autopsy on that guy.
Done at least 7 autopsies I can recall.
Frankly I don't wanna recall.
Saw a 15 year old kid that took a contact wound to the guts in a hunting accident from
a 12 bore and he WALKED A MILE to the highway for help.
He lived but minus a lot of guts and will wear a bag for life.
Knew a woman that got stabbed with a 12 blade butcher knife in the heart.
She pulled the knife out and made it outside to the street before she died.
Lovely lass she was. I miss her still.
A college boy resisted a robber at knife point and got the blade stuck in his heart
for his troubles.
He lived.
Go figger.
Use enough gun.
Or not. Ain't my butt.Last edited by jeager; 05-04-2017, 01:03 PM.

Someone asks a legitimate question about a tactical pen and it turns into why use a pen when you can shoot people and pointless stories about gunshot victims! Now I remember why I left this forum the first time.
Enjoy your ego stroke fellows!SQUARE PEG IN A ROUND HOLE

Why let electrons on a screen bother you so much?
A sign of insecurity or a delicate disposition?
Toughen up a bit mate and learn as we all wish to do.
Or go away and sulk.
I have ZERO ego involvement with ANYTHING on the internet.
A healthy attitude I'd think.
But then I'm a survivor aren't I?
Surviving anything isn't for the faint of heart snowflake.

I carry concealed when legal. But I also see the benefit of other tools for those times you can't. Like Amy when she is at work.
My only addition is to not carry a tool you haven't trained to use. I have seen first hand sticks, firearms and even nunchucks taken from the would be user. Luckily the guy who took the shotgun away from the punk didn't use it on him. Instead he threw it in a lake and laughed at the kid.
but my thought is train, train, train, train......"Oh, America. I wish I could tell you that this was still America, but I've come to realize that you can't have a country without people. And there are no people here. No, my friends. This is now the United States of Zombieland"

Why in the ell would anyone want to carry a freakin' weapon in a school?
In a bar???????????? Really?????
News flash. Weapons and booze don't mix!
Wow!
When I was a police officer us guys on second shift would meet after work at a nice
watering hole where miscreants didn't hang out.
We NEVER carried in a bar.
Fact is our rule book prohibited carrying a weapon if drinking alcohol.
I guess common sense isn't all that common.
By the way I do carry a suitable knife that can be deployed if needed.
I almost always have a handgun close by wherever I am.
I don't drink so the bar issue isn't an issue for me.
If a person is carrying a weapon and has ONE drink and the s.h.t.f. and he uses
the weapon he's WRONG.
Don't think so?
I've been sued 4 times at jury and it ain't no fun.
I won but sweat purple panther piss. That was 30 years ago and just one legal
bill was $25,000.00 bucks!
My F.O.P insurance covered it.
