  • due to have some snow

and as much as I hate to do it, I have some errands to run, which will include going to the grocery store. I know I am taking a risk on my life going to the store on a day it's going to snow (albeit only 2-4"). It will be a mob scene, with people pushing and shoving and long, long lines. As if we will all be snowed in our houses until the spring thaw.

I'm going to the grocery store because I have no junk food. Which makes me think, how many people have planned on having some sort of comfort food as part of their emergency supplies?

the store will also be doing a killer business on snow melt and shovels. I mean, it doesn't snow here all too much, but we always do get snow in winter, why the heck don't these people own shovels already?

I read a thread on another board, sounds like that cold front is gonna be a major PITA. Heck, we're even supposed to be 55-60 degrees next week.

Same everywhere I guess. If you say the "s" word here a line forms at the grocery stores to buy all the bread and milk....ALL the bread and milk. I bet people are buying milk that don't even drink milk!

Shovels. not so much, since here in the south, it will probably be gone by the time you get back home from standing in the line at the grocery store.

Peppermint seems like a good thing to keep on hand. Good for digestion too if I remember.
JUST CURIOUS? PRUNES ARE DEHYDRATED PLUMS. SO WHERE DOES PRUNE JUICE COME FROM?

I always hit up the stores after each holiday and buy up hard candy and jellied types of candy for emergencies. These styles will store for up to a year and if TSHTF my kids are not gonna care if they are eating Christmas candy in July as long as they can get some kind of candy.
