  • 2011- The Year Of Reasons To Start Prepping

You have to admit, it's been one hell of a year so far and we aren't even half way through it. All through out the world with these devastating natural disasters.
I just watch this video and it has some unbelievable destruction being show from the tornado in Minneapolis last week.
I think it is the year for people to wake up and start preparing for anything that might happen.

I'll keep my guns, freedom, and money... YOU CAN KEEP THE "CHANGE"!

Sheeple think that if they live else where....they are safe....

The coming economical storm is why I'm prepping.....the natural stuff is just a warm up I fear...:(

No where is safe, heck look at just last night. Tornadoes hitting up in Mass...

I'm with Echo, I think the economical storm will be many times worse than anything mother nature throws at us...

Notice how quickly the media has forgotten about the floods, Joplin, Birmingham, or Japan.

One thing he says at the end of the video is about Preppers pitching in. Volunteering and helping at these places could be great education to see first hand what survives, how people react, and to think on how you'd fare if it had been your area. Might help to revise and modify your plans.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you!

what I find amazing, is that we have created a system worse than Mother Nature. we allow our selves to be devastated by an artificial system, when we should just refuse to play the game.

" what, you jacked the prices of homes, played games with the money, refused to renegotiate loans or work with me and now you want to foreclose. get off my land parasite"

" repo the car that was already overpriced by 1500 percent before it hit the dealer, and then refuse to work with me. sorry you had your chance. touch it and bleed"

Man if normal people had the power of the congress, we would have infinite credit. " what I dont have enough money. hello Credit company, this it to notify you that I have raised my debt ceiling. please keep my AAA credit rating current. Im printing more checks tomorrow"

Honestly, I fail to see how any one can argue that the system isnt broke and doesnt need fixing.

Companies and politicians created this mess, with overspending, over pricing to cover the over spending. playing games with their taxes while the politicos winked and nodded. set up a credit system to keep the illusion of prosperity going, and that now is even used for hiring. talk about the number of the best.

and somewhere some one is chanting free market.

no matter what happens...emp, solar flares, terror attack, bad weather, earth quakes; the financial repercussions will be bad. If nothing happens, the economy will be hurting for a LONG time. We are doing our best to prepare for that. Every supply, every row of veg we plant, every extra bag of feed that we pick up are ones we won't have to get when times get tough.

You got that right... Even without any doom and gloom disasters, we are still in a world of hurt once the economys ill effects hit us full force.... I keep thinking about the frog in a pot story.. The PTB and media are letting us slow boil so we don't realize what is going on till it is too late.

I honestly think the SHTF scenario might be driven by an economic collapse rather than one of the events you listed. I can only imagine the nightmare that will hit when those millions of zero liability voters no longer get their monthly gov't checks or all the elderly and others on social security. Think of what that's going to look like. Think of all those big city housing projects making Katrina look like a 5 yr old girls pink pony birthday party. Then with the way the gov't has insured they sprinkled welfare recipients into almost every community in the country, they've ensured they can spread the chaos from shore to shore

The Suburban will have the youngins and a trailer hooked to it....headed to the BOL.

My brother is coming out of Richmond VA....ghetto central surrounds them....we have worked out routes, out of the city....a lot of maintenance roads...and a couple rail lines...if they have to go on foot.

Getting out of a city is a fear of mine.....I feel though....it will be like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

                      maric three suggestions...

                      1. Semi truck with luxury sleeper unit and a train cowguard mounted to the front.

                      2. bulldozer with an enclosed cab. lots of fun...

                      or 3. a steam roller.

actually come to think of it, you could get an ice cream truck too that music dang near kills brain cells.

I fear man before I do Mother Nature. Mother Nature isn't cruel or kind she is what she is. Man on the other hand is capable of far worse and will destory himself sooner or later. Mother Nature doesn't know greed, anger, selfishness, deceit, lies, cruelty, but man has excelled at perfecting all of them, killing over them and never learning from his mistakes.

The key is to get out before the SHTF! It's no different then sunburn treatment...the best treatment is taking preventive measures ahead of time.

Even if a true SHTF situation neever occurs the unemployment problem along with the general economic problems the world over will make those that have prepped VERY thankful.

This is right on the mark. We could very well be headed for another even greater depression/ inflation. All, let me repeat that "All" politicians of both major parties are on the take frome the big money interests. Why, do we give billions to the oil companies making record profits and ripping us off at the pump. This is not fantasy money we give them it is our tax dollars! One nameless politician recently said if we didn't give them billions gas would cost even more............ "HUH"..
"and somewhere some one is chanting free market" right on my friend.
