Not sure if anyone else does this . But here goes. Every season change I tear down my BOB, GHB.And reevaluate my needs dependant upon the temperature change, food availability, and any other misc. needs. Just thought I'd throw this out maybe as a reminder to check your bags /equipment. Maybe something you forgot, or put in there that will make the difference between survival, or a dirt nap.
The only things I have to change are clothing and blankets. everything else is generic as to seasonal use. I do an equipment check for the expiration dates on perisables in April and oct. Generators, lamps, stoves get checked monthly. This is in case of environment or vermin damage.
yes very much agreed seeing how i am n ow a cub scout den leader i can pass bug/disaster preparedness bags on to a new genration thanx for the new idea
