Not to get too graphic, but TP is quite a space grabber. Plus, mankind has been without TP longer then with it. Leaves, the non-poison ivey types work well, and there are many other natural find on the path things that work well.

Leaves, Mother Natures TP, good back then, still good now.:)
Problem is, if you look at the amount of "stuff" in my box, I am at terminal mass. Nothing more will fit, and, unless I want a divorce, or to be sent to the afterlife while sleeping, I cannot start another box. So, which items do I remove to make room for the toilet paper? Suggestions?

Rusty have you ever looked at add an emergency calorie bars to the kit instead of food packed in liquids like the sardines (Hard to tell from photo) might be more concentrated use of space.

Though like you I can't see myself trading calories for tp.

I thought about it, but if you look at most of them, they contain soy. Soy just is not good for males, and especially me.

I didn't know that but I wonder if the slight cost of soy would be sufficient to restrict their efficiency as an emergency only calorie source? Assuming one is not sitting on their rear during the emergency 2-3K calories are probably necessary to power through the heavy thinking, worrying and physical exertions.

My kits all contain emergency bars along with civilian MRE main entree's. Even then I would rather trim some weight for my packs but haven't. TP is an easy choice but spare knife, extra filter and similar are much harder to set down. The constant struggle between weight and necessity.

I don't own a camera, lol. Or most other electronics to be honest....the computer is my main connection outside of friends and books.

Well, maybe you could borrow one? I also heard that you can buy a disposable one now days.

Ok. For all of those with sensative tushes. I just added some individual premoistened TP packs to the kit. I am somewhat old fashioned, and am unsure why wet TP would be of use. But, for the sake of aleviating all the controversy about the subject, it has been added.

Here is a real foolish question. What EXACTLY is pre-moistened toilet paper? Since I am now an owner, I would like to know what it is, before I am forced to use it.
