There was never a dull moment when we had chickens, that's for sure. My oldest son, who was about 8 at the time, had a nightmare of a giant chicken chasing him through a field. He woke up screaming, "Get the chair mama!" LOL

Unswydd, I looked quite funny using a plastic chair from the porch in the stance of a lion tamer, JUST SO the kids could get on the school bus in the mornings. LOL Repeat for the afternoon trip home. Our chickens were quite aggressive and I don't think they liked me or the kids as well. These were supposed to be a "gentle" natured breed. Yeah, right.

When we had chickens we had some Buff Orpingtons. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching them in the yard. My kids were not very fond of the roosters, though :) and neither was I.

I had to laugh when I started looking at these. Never in a million years did I imagine even deciding even getting a chicken much less what the breed should be. LOL
Ameraucana looks good to me. lol This really is funny to me.
