    Hey ya all,
Did any of you watch Glen Beck on Friday at Fox news? Well I just found this guy and he got me interested when he talked about the "Fema camps". Yes, he did talk about them. Then I started listening more and he is something. Then he did his friday show and well, I really like what he has started. He listed 9 principles and 12 values. This is what he says on his page:

America, I want to talk straight to you now.

There is a lot of bad news out there. Our economy is tanking and does not show signs of improving. People are losing their jobs 500 million a month according to Nancy Pelosi and there are more cuts on the way.

People around the world are taking to the streets. Our government responds to problem with "bailouts." When you reach out to them you get no response while Ponzi scheme crooks get away with millions and tax cheats get promotions.

Terrorists are on the run, and you just want to keep your family safe.

It is enough to make you want to just give up!

But I am here to tell you something important: You are not alone, and if you believe in a majority of these nine principles then keep watching because I am going to prove it to you to.

    1. America is good place, not perfect, but good.

    2. I believe in God and He is the center of my life.

    3. I must try to be a better, more honest person than I was yesterday.

    4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority.

    5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

    6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and not a guarantee of equal results.

    7. I work hard for what I have. I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

    8. It is not un-American for me to disagree or share my personal opinion.

    9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them. They answer to me.

If you believe in those things then I have a project for you. Believe me, this will be worth your while. I want you to take a picture of yourself — keep your clothes on, please — and e-mail it to me at [email protected]. I am going to ask you every day for the next two or three weeks.

Please, if you agree with these principles then help me fight for them.

He talks about joining together as Americans and taking our country back.
Finally someone is talking about the stuff we worry about.
    THanks,
    Duchessrt

Well, Long_Hunter posted this the other day.

I haven't responded because I am still working out details with friends and family. I also would hedge to say that a lot of us here at xcolony probably pretty much already live our lives by these standards.

It is a very good post duchess! I am glad you found Glenn Beck as I think he is one of the few out there who will tell it like it is. :)

I responded to this post on another forum, thought I'd done it here...sorry:o

I like watching Glenn, but I was a bit disappointed with this. I already stick to my values and principles, as do many of those that watched the show. I would have like something more concrete to do. But, I'll keep watching and supporting this idea.

When I first read this a couple of weeks ago on his website, I kind of shrugged, too. This is how we've felt/lived for years. His list is a good start on conservative values though, we could/should beef it up and send it to our congresscritters.

You did reply to on this forum, on a thread I started the other day. Just didn't want you to think you were losing it.

I thank ya all for posting. I felt all of you did live already by these principles. I have been living by those also. I am not out in the world preparing and working everyday like all of you but I try to keep up on things. I have a family too. I don't know what Glen has in mind about this project but I felt it couldn't hurt to pass it along. He has touched on stories I have been watching over the years and the shape our land is in. It disturbs me greatly. Since all of you are more tuned in than I am I read your posts. Have a great week

I agree that most of us here live these principals daily. I believe what Beck is doing is to start at the basic level of the ideology that he wants to initiate. Basically get everyone one the same level of thought, then proceed with the plan. I am fairly new at watching his shows, however, I have listened to his radio show for about a year. He makes a lot of sense. The boy can get ya riled up for sure.

Its what I've been tellin my family for years and they just look at you like your nuts. Now they are seeing it for what it is. Nice to know there are others out there who feel the same.

Ya know, I have been telling my family for years this time was coming. I thought I was seen as nuts. But now, they are listening. We have 300 acres to go to if we have to. But it is a long ways. My family has a plan for many different times. I don't know what is going to happen, but I believe it will be sudden and dramatic. I am glad to hear others are out there that feel the way I do. I am getting my garden planted next week and we are finally gun owners!! But we are moving fast to get what we can considering the future.
                      Thanks for posting.

I have been telling my family for years too, they first thought I was nuts. Then Obama happened. This year happened. They don't think I am nuts anymore. They are finally on board. I pray we make it through this mess.

                              Fellow Survivalists,

While I don't have a family of my own or a belief in any supernatural being, I do want life on Earth to be the best it can be and that means both living productively and free and respecting the lives, the freedom, and the property of others as well. So Glenn Beck has it down pat 7 out of 9.
