What kind of recycled items can you use to add to your preps?
For instance, I have
5 gallon buckets w/ lids- got from my local bakery that originally held corn syrup. I've cleaned them out, bought mylar bags, and they are going to be for long term storage of rice and wheat.
2 liter soda bottle- mine are cleaned out, refilled with water. I've heard some people use them to store rice or flour... better than the original bags to keep mice out.
veggie or coffee cans- good ol' hobo stoves. I've used twigs and charcoal with the Cub scouts and just put a pan on top for cooking.
some of our member have made flame throwers- oh, excuse me- I mean, can stoves out of soda/beer cans.
what else?
