How many rounds have you put through it so far?
I'm curious on the performance of the optic. You like it so far? any issues? I've read good and bad on the FM stuff. I have Aimpoint taste with a Barska budget... Looking for a middle of the road red dot. Your thoughts?
I've put over a thou' through, getting it screwed down tight, without a single prob other than a failure to feed due to a bad lip on a factory mag.....nothin' a pair of pliers couldn't fix....

So far my li'l cheapo SG special works fine...I'm shootin' sub MOA with it in 3 shot grps....but the real deal is speed for me....target acquisition is nice and quick, it stays zeroed, and the batt life is unbelievable...I left it on for over a week on max brightness, and when I discovered my error, I checked and it was still at full intensity...

If I ding it, I'm out 40 clams, so that's a plus....the one drawback is the cheap, soft mounting nuts...gonna get some real nuts next time I'm at Lowe's and mount her SOLID.....

For less than 50 bucks, I might actually buy another just for Murphy...I'd recommend 'em....

BS I finially got my stock, internals and VFG for the mini, even got that 'Muzzel Break' that's supposed to help reduce group size! I'm thinking of adding some racing stripes so the bullets fly faster!
BTW sweet pic, does she have an (older) sister?

    Here's my mini so far....

    ATI tactical folder...
FM Optics 1x40 variable intensity red/green dot sight...
Tango Down vertical foregrip and 1" light ring...
    Trigger job...
    Recoil buffer...
    Bbl cryo...
    Winchester speed sling...

Still trying to choose a tactical light....can't decide between conventional pressure switch, trigger relay, or what.....

This thing's balance is a marvel to me...I'd never dream of trying to throw it, but it feels like it'd be great for a fight or a hunt....and the pommel is solid and heavy...I'm wondering if the pommel and blade are monolithic, or is it simply attatched to the end of the tang?[/QUOTE]

The traditional Ka-Bars had a stick-tang your pommel is screwed on (maybe pinned as well) and the handle is pinned in place.

No doubt....I can'teven find a single recent kabar model with a true wood handle...they've gone completely composite or metal for their tactical fighters and utilities alike...

Love the wood grips... Don't see too many like that, especially in that condition. It's a keeper.
