What items/skills do you have 'double uses' for?

I like multipurpose skills and items. For example, an obvious one would be:
Heating water on a woodstove, or a hot water tank in the chimney (forgot what that is called). Warmth AND hot water.

Other uses:
Using Solar yard lights to recharge AA batteries

Saving shower or bath water to flush a toilet or wash clothes

Using a compost bin to produce heat (it can get up to 140 degrees!)

I have a ram pump that can pump water up the hill and then flow back in to the stream above the pump. Does this count? :p

Camelbak Hydration Bladder, use as a pillow, flotation device, air splint, shower bag...

Bandana, use as a sweat rag, a sponge to gather water from a hole you can't get a cup in or collect dew from the ground for drinking water, sun shield to protect exposed skin, torniquet, bandage, sling, to help build a water filter, etc.

Blacksmithing forge for heat and to cook with (I only use natural hardwood lump charcoal, so it's safe for cooking). Anvil for shaping metal, as well as heating to fry a fillet of meat on. Blacksmith hammer can be used as a counter weight on a spring trap.
