            They are the military's M22 binos. Perfect choice for me. They are armored, rugged, waterproof, have good optics and since I'm proficient with Mil-Dot reticles the fact that it has one is a huge plus. Great optics in a small package. Good optics are worth their wieght in gold when it comes to scouting/reconing and avoiding danger.

              I have a set of Steiner Firebird 8X30 that I picked up in Dubai in 1990 prior to Desert Storm. The below link is sold out. It is posted for the picture.

                      I keep a pair of 8 by 20 bushnell compact in my pack an relly old pair of tasco in my truck and every where else This might sound weird but i have a pair of cardboard folding binos in my front pocket the kids made at a girlscout function thought they were kind of corny but they work well about 5by not to shabby for a quick scout that fits with my notebook and pen plus it has a custome camo job by the girl scouts when i get back in port i will post a pic.

                        To be honest I have an old pair of Nikons that take a licking, but keep on ticking. I would like a new pair simply to get something smaller/lighter, but have more important things I need to spend money on first.
