  • Nalgene 32 bottle cap

I'm not sure if some of you have seen this or not, but I thought this was a really great product worth mentioning.

It's a cap that functions as a wide and narrow mouth cap eliminating the need for two different types of bottles for those of you that like to have wide and narrow mouths. It's been been out for a little while now and it's made by a company called Humangear. I picked this one up last year from a local sporting goods store. The only thing I don't like is the color, but it's all they had in stock at the time.

When I came home I was also impressed that it fit my 38oz. Guyotdesigns stainless bottle too. Just take it off before it goes in the fire though! lol

Yes, it was from a place called "Scheels" I believe, but I know they have a site/dealers on line. Just google "humangear.com"

      Hope that helps.

Those ice caps sound interesting, where could I see a picture of them? Could you post one when you get a chance. No hurry.

            Thanks

I swear by these caps, you can actually drink while walking without hydrating your shirt in the process. Try walking at a good pace and drink out of a nalgene--- H2O up the nose and down the shirt at the same time, but not with these caps!

Speaking of nalgene bottle lids, does anyone have experience with these? Replacements for the standard lids, these have a little solar panel on top that charges a light inside, turning your nalgene bottle into an LED lantern.

I've been running a HGear Cap Cap for a good while and love the thing. Much better looking like a tired hiker with a sweaty shirt than a drunk with a drinking impediment. LOL

Well, for me, the action is the juice.....I'm in.

I don't have the lids you linked but I also have a Guyot Designs Firefly Lid. I put mine on a lime green type bottle that I use for water. It gives me the light I need to either finish up before climbing into my hammock or searching around in my tent for my beanie before bed.

I like that it has Brightness settings, and is LED. The light I need but still low level so myself and my sight stay stealthy. Know what I mean?

Firefly topped Nalgene hanging on my hammock line just to the left of my pack.
