Our son used 550 cord and made his own. That thing will live longer than we will!

      ENO makes a Fantastic hammock!

Try the double nest with built in insect repellent, I love mine.

Hammock Forums is a discussion web site about hammocks and their uses along with write-ups, reviews and open discussion about hammocks

I have a Hennessy hammock, you enter from the bottom and has a built in bug net. I've had it for about 12 years now.

Can you be more descriptive on what you are looking for in a hammock?

Thank You for all the advice so far.

Your right bcauz3y it would probably be a little better to state some uses and such.

*A light set-up is always a plus, but I don't want to sacrifice on durability.

*MUST have great insect protection and rain protection.

            *I am 6' and about 210 lbs

*I will be using it once in awhile for winter camping, but it's main time frame of use would be from early spring to late fall.

*It DOESN'T have to be camouflaged, but I will only use earth tone colors/camoflage on all my gear.

            * I would like plenty of room especially if I use it for the winter months.

I hope this helps out a little more.

As Diesel said, ENO makes a good setup.

Personally, I run a Hennessy Hammock Expedition A-Sym Zip Hammock.

Bug proof, rain proof, super light, and very durable. I have gone on a few pretty long camping trips with it, through rainstorms, and you know how bugs are down here in the SE.

This comfortable, asymmetric hammock has a side entry, double-slider zipper and large, protective rainfly that make it perfect for those who like to travel light.

Anyway, I think both companies make a great product, I just happen to be running the hennessy.
