  • What should you carry on yourself ?

Someone started a thread asking what you always carry. I would like to expand on that and see what we can suggest what a person SHOULD always carry on themselves.

You need a knife #1. Any knife will do. Ultimately a multitool with a knife blade, saw, file, canopener, pliers and assorted screwdrivers. Very handy.
A way to make fire, a bic lighter, matches, firesteel etc.
A bandana. It's a bandage, a breathing mask, water filter, knapsack, firetinder, signaling device etc.
    A flashlight.
    Cash money.
A firearm if you are able and allowed by law.
A 2-3 day supply of any vital medication.
Important phone #s. Family, friends, bank etc.

    So, what am I missing?

P.S. I always have a spare pickup key in my pocket.

Sounds like a pretty good list to me. Most ppl would add a cell phone. Pretty handy when it works, just don't count on it working.

What do you mean but vital medication?

Like first aid supplies? or do you mean for example if your diabetic you carry 2 to 3 days worth of insulin? or both?
