        i dunno i got a cubscout camping trip coming up but they would probly frown on a few items heheheehe just an all around bug out /truck bag as for the water very good but how bout just a filter less dead weight

          My .02 .... Great opportunity to prepare them for the real deal Prkchp .... no lanterns, candles. No stove, shovel for Dakota hole. No tent, machete/knife for debris hut/wiki. This might help lighten the load .... campin can be fun AND educational.

            I like OW's suggestion of less is more.

            Went camping over on Stone Mountain NC a few weeks ago. This was tent camping with the family and involved very little bush craft if any. Started hiking off of the marked trails, just to try to get lost and came across the remains of a debris hut. Kinda cool to see that people are out building these things and not just watching them being built on youtube.
            The 12ga.... It's not just for rabbits anymore.
