  • Nalgene Bottles - CUPS

Thought i'd share some recent research.

Found these great option for cups that nest Nalgene bottles, great space saver, and very convienent.

    Option one

    http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___25001

    made to fit nalgene bottles

    option 2
    http://www.rei.com/product/708071

fits nalgene bottles but not quite snuggly,
(TIP: wrap your nalgene bottle in a bandana to snug it up in the cup)

Think i may try out option one

      Totally different concept

      Not the topic here.

The topic is something you can cook in, boil in, eat out of, and stays with your nalgene, and takes zero space

you need a mug you need something to cook in on an open flame, and this solutions takes literally no additional space and stays with your water, thats why I made a post specifically about it.

I have to agree. The reason I am miffed at the military is that they got rid of the old stainless canteen/canteen cup. They were a far from perfect combination but you could 'live' outa em. Heat water, cook, wash. I even tried to make a still outa a canteen, hopeless persuit but I would have made some money!
The old steel 'pot' (helmet) was heavy and hot in sunny areas but you could boil water and wash in that too! I guess that's all handled by 'contractors' these days.
I still have my old canteen on my LBE, GI mess kits are near useless, I hate em, the German mess kits are far superior!
