  • BOB - Post Pics & List your Bug Out BAG gear THREAD!

The official BOB - Post Pics & List your Bug Out BAG gear THREAD!

For those slightly unfamiliar with this, it's your Starting over bag or kit, where you never plan on coming back to your home or location. Slightly more robust than a BOB, and with a different mentality.

This thread is to ONLY post pics & a list of your gear.

Not for commentary or discussions, or critique.

Let's keep it clean, organized and simple.

If you have questions about someones gear or items start another thread in the gear section, for example Title: Re: Diesel's INCH gear he posted

Let the fun begin! Don't be shy everyone has to start somewhere and everyone has different needs. Positive REP given to everyone who posts

** ALSO PLEASE do not hesitate to start your own thread with your pics and contents for discussion and critque in addition to what ever you post here, we encourage it!

revisualize steps up to the plate!! GREAT job! Now I think that was a first seen lots of pics of kits, never videos, well done bud - you may still want to post some still pics and a gear list as it's easier for folks to study, compare, and even critique

Come on guys share your kits, pics, or vids welcome!

Nice setup P22, it's def a great start, I'd like to see pics of the actual contents as well. Being an RN, I'd say expand yout med kit a bit, unless you have a large seperate kit that you can grab at any time.

Notes: I would add more food, and capacity to carry water. Why do you have eggs & bacon only unless i'm missing something. Did I miss Toilet paper on the list? Also I highly reccomend carryin 1 or two heavy duty contractor grade garbage bags, they can be used for anything from shelter, poncho, makeshift stretcher, pack rain cover, etc

Military TCCC doctrine is relative to both tactical law enforcement and the armed citizen. Field Emergency Medicine is useful for emergency preparedness and EDC. For my purposes, I have found the US Army Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) an ideal kit for long term storage of additional medical supplies as the modules are waterproof / vacuum sealed. The Kit Components consist of a Trauma Module and a Minor First Aid Module. This kit is not to be confussed with the Improved First Aid Kit.

                  Good thread idea.
I don't have pics of my INCH supplies, mostly because they are in different locations of the house in order of importance beginning with what I need to load first.
We have a multilayer bug in/out plan.
Level #1 bug in- Consists of canned goods, lg sacks of rice and grains, Lg water jugs, wood and liquid fuel for heating and cooking (in house) and a small closet with weapons ammo and first aid supplies. We also have a small shed with hand tools for off grid living. These supplies should be good to supply 4 people and 2 dogs for up to 6 months.
Level #2 bug out- Consists of dehydrated food supplies, Lg tent, sleeping gear for 4, camp gear with similar supplies as level #1 all packed in totes for base camp setup, food and hygiene for 2-3 months. I am short on dog supplies.
Level #3 bug out- Food, Water, Shelter, Fire, Defense, Hygiene in backpacks enough for 3-4 days if we must run with whats on our backs. No supplies for dogs at this time.
The logistics of this plan are extensive and I've left out some things like clothing and first aid and fun activities like games coloring books and cards as a given. This plan is ever changing and never seems to be done. Weight is always an issue especially at level #3. Preping in our family is almost a full time job in itself.

LL Bean White Mountain BOB/Camping bag (This is part 1)

Starting at the top, left to right... Kinda lol. I consider this my BOB, however, this is also the bag and contents that accompany my brother and I when we go on our camping/survival treks up in Northern Maine. I am aware of the lack of food in this bag :)

I have a smaller fanny pack type bag with 2 Nalgene bottle holders, that stays in my truck, or in any other vehicle I happen to be traveling in, or on my person during a day hike, that I will post next in the near future (I apologize for not posting now, I didn't realize how exhausting it was to itemize everything haha). It is much smaller, much lighter, contains only the bare essentials, but there is some excellent gear in it. It can clip right on the the bag shown and contains many supplemental items that are not in this large bag.
