  • A plan, behind the plan, behind the plan.....

I already live at the place where I will be WTSHTF.........however..... I still have two complete scapeaway at half a mile and at one mile away from my home up in the hills with all that I might need in winter or summer for two months.

The reason for the above is that I just might have to run like hell away from my home and I will need something to come back and recover what is mine.

So that even if you live in the city you should also have something else elsewhere.......don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Agreed. It's a hard thing to so though...I'm just working on mine now.

Is this post about gear or about shelter?

Personally, I find it difficult living alone and trying to pay for my bills here in Seattle then looking at the fact that I couldn't really push to make it more than 3 months if I lost my job. Let alone. Looking at buying a spot of land. I need to make sure that I have enough in savings as is then move forward after that.

I'm sure it will get easier over time. ANd it would REALLY help if I wasn't single. But, alas.. I have to work with what I got.

An excellent topic to occasionally mention as a refresher.

Remember redundancy in everything from plans to equipment stashes.

"Never put all of your eggs in one basket" -- sage advice if there ever was any!

SINGLE IS MUCH EASIER AS far as preps go you only have one instead of two to worry about and the saying is prep now or pay later your choice but im sure you could afford xtra food instead of going out or packing your lunch and so on just look harder i am not trying to piss you off i dont know your story but step back and look
the pack that plays together stays together
