Just got my OtterBox in the mail today! The Blackberry is an 8830 Smartphone. the OtterBox consists of three layers. A clear thin silicone layer that protects the keyboard, screen and camera lens. A thick hard plastic (Yellow) clam shell frame. And a thick silcone outer shock barrier (Black)
You can get the clam shell in black also, but I like the yelow, plus it will be easier to find if it falls out of my pack on a trail.
They make these for a wide variety of phones. If you camp and/or hike, something like this would be a good investment.
